    I liked that concept foodery that completely encased your food in a solid shell of small rocks that had to be broken open to be eaten.


    However they closed shortly thereafter, having been sued for their name - "Pebbles and Bam-Bam"

    I'll admit this might work for fish, but no self respecting man would cook a steak on anything but an open flame (Ok, once in college I experimented with a pan to make a sauce from the drippings). Also, BBQ is defined as food cooked over a flame so that's out.

    agreed gann...isn't stone searing just sort of a form of frying without butter? ya can't fry steak man. grill styles or nothin.

    @adamcoe: Now that you mention it, you'd probably have to use a cooking lube of your choice to keep the meat from sticking to the stones.
