    Picture a tornado that is cutting a mile wide swath of complete annihilation at it's base taking out trees, cars, brick buildings and even breaking reinforced concrete structures. That's what an F5 is.

    @kstagg: I'm with you. I think what annoys me most about these storm chasers is the pretense of scientific research. That and the way that some folks seem to think they're heroic. The only good thing I can say about them is that they're only putting themselves at risk, and if they want to do that it's fine with me.

    The majority of storm/tornado chasers are not really researchers they are "spotters" for local news channels.

    @AmphetamineCrown: The only reason the house didn't get taken is because the tornado got mad at them for tying themselves to the pipe and decided it was going to just pout about it and die. It was only chasing them to begin with for forcing it to eat a shitty Dodge Ram pickup.
