I actually think that Dell has some great designs. The lower end laptops aren't stellar, but the new Studio designs, from the laptop to the Hybrid desktop are very nice looking machines. I think Dell's come a long way, and if this "dingus" is responsible, well then kudos to him and his team.

@weatherman: The Adamo actually has an excellent design (if it is heavy and underpowered), but the way they talk about it is pretty terrible.

@matt buchanan: the Adamo looks good to me, but not great. And ultimately it hasn't got the specs to match the price, so it just feels empty to me.

I got serious douche-chills every time he said "approachable."

According to PCWorld, the machine only has fast ethernet? Yeesh. It's 2009, Dell -- gigabit ethernet is kind of a requirement at this point.

@regnez: lol..wow. That's too idiotic, even for an oversight. I was almost certain that no computer on earth came with any less than gigabit now.

As long as it's optional I guess it doesn't matter, but the multitouch gimmick on this thing is sort of silly, considering that it's not even on a thing that would allow it to be used with general comfort.

@Kaiser-Machead: well for $700 who cares if its optional or not IMO.

@Matingmonkey: That sounds unlikely for the specs stated in the article. Considering the price of Dell's current AIO, I assume that, with multitouch and BD installed, it would go for well over 1k. I will be thoroughly impressed if they can sell it for $700.

@Kaiser-Machead: I agree. Touch screens would be tiring and awkward to use on a desktop computer. Plus, they would result in many smudges. Multi touch would be even more pointless.

Let's hope it's available in other colors.

Sweet, finally a competitor to the i"am-smug-as-hell-because-I-own-a"Mac from a reputable company. Now the people that use computers for actual work can have an attractive, cordless desktop too!

@Outdriver: Dell's been making an AIO for quite some time now, as well as Gateway and HP, so it's not as though there weren't any alternatives to the iMac.

As for doing actual work, this thing will not make much difference. If you're talking about an office, the wires don't even matter, unless bossman/lady says that you have to set the thing up yourself (which he/she won't) :P
