I suddenly don't feel bad about the times when I take on the persona of stupid Giz posters. You'd think the Retromodo tag, listening test, the fact that you posted a link to the initial post, and mention it directly in the article, and that Jason has in fact felt the need to post those facts would be enough. But, no, it's not. Will probably get more ignorant posts stating the obvious when more see this too.
Now, I'm anything but perfect, but do some of you even take the time to read or do you just start yelling/posting without thinking. I mean seriously...... OH! That dog has a fluffy tail! Eeehehehe! C'mere fluffy tail! C'mere!
Now, the question is will it asplode when Marty tries to rock out on it? Will Doc Brown warn him off on attempting the brown note in time? Tune in next week when Gizmodo covers the amazing Terminator hearse!
Ah yes, see, it helps if you mention the specifics... You know, like 110DB/1W/1M (Which is how speakers are rated btw...) Then theoretically you gain +3 db every time you double your power output.
So, 2W +3db, 4W +6, 8W +9, 16W +12 etc... (Extreme diminishing returns then ensue.)
It also mentions that this is @ 10Hz, which is infrasound... (You can feel it, but not hear it...)
Which is what makes all of this really impressive, AND insane. Not to mention 10 Hz waves will really piss your neighbors off, and their neighbors, and the kid 3 miles down the road with the very expensive car stereo that only covers the 30-120 Hz sound range...
@nuclearlove: @rcast1986: I could be completely wrong, but I really hope you two are making an MST3K reference, I <3 you both sooooooo much if you are.
my girlfriend's cats like to sleep on my laptop then when they wake up they stretch and end up ripping the keys off, now i'm missing the "N" key, the "insert" key and half of the other keys are loose
