Sorry, but I like my vehicles to be independent of my handhelds. If I drop/lose my iPhone, it gets corrupted or non-responsive, it'd be nice if my vehicle can say "Who cares about your shit? I still run, right?"
But then, if my vehicle were to say something like that, I'd either be the luckiest guy on earth, or witness to the beginning of the end.
@bombastinator: Would you rather have your boys resting directly on the engine? It's not that this has a fake gas tank, but that the gas tank was probably located there in the first place to give you a protective barrier against your own portable weenie roast.
This kind of thing should be implemented more often... as in I think my iPhone should be the stereo faceplate in my car as well... how come no one has made that yet?
@Naoki - Photoshop Ninja: Great concept, not so great in real life. Firstly, you're limited to that specific shape of iPhone. What if you want to upgrade and they changed the case a little bit? What if it's raining? Do you want to give your iPhone a quick bath? Is it designed such that the iPhone can be removed by any random passerby if you forget to grab it when you park? What do you do if your iPhone goes missing, gets stolen, or you have to send it in for repairs? What if your iPhone reboots or locks up while you're driving (my iPod will sometimes reboot or lock up in the middle of a song, so I'm assuming the iPhone will reboot at random times as well)? It's a high-concept design that looks great on paper and all sparkly in the showroom, but I'd hate to ever see it on the road.
@DipDog3: You're riding a motorcycle. Not only do you have much more dangerous control issues if you hit some unexpected surface conditions, (hit a slick patch and it's much easier to lose control, and you're all exposed on top of that thing instead of encased in a vehicle), but many auto drivers have trouble noticing motorcycles. You have no business talking on a cel phone while riding a motorcycle, not even if you're using bluetooth.

Also why does this thing have a fake gas tank if it's electric? It's idiotic.
