    I would love to have one of these, but, when my house was built the electrician wired all the top outlets to a switch on the wall (for lamps, etc) so unless I leave all the lights ON, the top half of the power doesnt work. (Yes, I know, I can turn them off individually, but then I fall on my face feeling around for the lamp in the dark.)

    @Curves: Get a Lightning Switch for the lamp. Uses unpowered RF signals to turn the lights on and off from any outlet. NO wiring required. They are great. I use them in my home where I have a lack of overhead lighting but want a light switch at the door.

    @bandit: Thank you, I will check it out. I was worried I might have to get a "Clapper". (I would rather fall on my face in the dark then have to hear that song "CLAP ON/CLAP OFF - THE CLAPPER" in my head every time I use it.)
