Of course, the modification looks like it would get in the way of a close, comfortable shave. [TIFI via Boing Boing]

<![CDATA[Nintendo DS Game Selector Switches Between, Shows Off Your Top 3 Games]]> This Blaze Game Selector for the Nintendo DS Lite attaches to the DS's back and allows you to toggle between 3 games with the flip of a switch. We're not sure the marginal effort saved is worth the aesthetic sacrifice.

The Selector features three slots for games and an indicator light to show which game is in play. A cable runs between the attachment and the DS's card slot, and it looks like the Selector is easily removable, as it just clips on. It's mildly useful, especially if you own exactly three games, but it really ruins the sleek lines of the DS Lite, and, of course, it's vastly inferior in utility (though not in legality, heh) to one card with boatloads of ROMs. The reviews are glowing but we're not sure they're trustworthy, especially the one saying, "I really enjoy it and look forward to doing it over and over. Well worth it."

The Blaze NDS Game Selector is available now for around $13, which is a totally fair price if you're not as superficial as we are. [SuperUFO via Kotaku]

<![CDATA[Apple Patents iSight Cam Behind Laptop Screen, Will Hear From Errol Morris's Lawyers]]> A recent Apple patent for an iSight camera located behind the screen instead of above it sounds like a cool idea—too bad a system just like it has already been invented.

By the director of some of Apple's most memorable commercials, no less! Errol Morris's awesomely-named Interrotron system captures the first-person interviews for his documentaries and commercials by using two cameras with mirrored, teleprompter-like screens in front of them, each with the image of the other person's face.

Apple's patent works the exact same way, and can eliminate the lack of intimacy brought about by looking just above or below the eyes of the person you're cybering with. Of course there's no real promise of this being integrated into a real product anytime soon, as the tech for placing a working camera behind a traditional laptop LCD is still a ways away.

But OK, while we're talking Errol Morris and Interrotrons, what the hell:

<![CDATA[Google Phone to Resemble a BlackBerry, Will Run on Multiple Carriers]]> The first time we saw the Google phone (codenamed Switch) we weren't sure what to make of it. Two months later the Internet is buzzing again with claims that the "GPhone" will be BlackBerry-like and available on multiple carriers, rather than just one. There's still no pricing or better images to show off, but one thing's for sure, it'll be interesting to see all these phones clash for our attention.

<![CDATA[Portable Light Switch: Does What Your Girlfriend Does but with Less Complaints]]>

For all of us who have woken up at 5am on the sofa after a couple of beers and the late-night movie, this portable light switch could be the answer to our dreams. Using wireless technology, the $120 device can be programmed to control any of the lights in your sitting room if you're too pooped to get up. At that price I would expect it to carry me to bed and brush my teeth as well.

<![CDATA[What's Mac Switcher Ellen Feiss Doing Now?]]> Our favorite Mac switcher Ellen Feiss has been busy the last few years. First, she does that awesome switch ad. Then she made a French movie over the summer. Now she's all colleged up and getting her education on.

In an interview with Macenstein, she shares with us some tidbits about that switch ad and what happened after. She got to do the ad because she was friends with the director's son. The paper being eaten was a true story, and she even got a free iPod out of the whole thing. All in all, she seems really together about everything. An interesting read if you're curious at all about her.

<![CDATA[Sears Apes Apple's Old Switch Ads To Sell Xbox 360s]]> We're all for homages and sharing ideas, but this Sears ad looks a bit too much like the old Apple Switch ads in timing, editing, and style. It makes us ashamed that we bought our Xbox 360s at Sears early this year when demand was high and supply was low. We're still paying for it now, as Sears continues to spam us every other day with ads for refrigerators and lawnmowers.

<![CDATA[Ellen Feiss Stars In A Movie]]>

Ellen Feiss, star of the most famous and most watched Switch Ad, is back! She's starring in a french movie called "Bed and Breakfast" as one half of a set of newlyweds (I think, as my French is nonexistent).

We doubt she's going to throw in any Feiss-isms in the movie—beep beep beep—but she's still cute. We hear the Dell guy's going to be in a German U-Boat movie next year.

<![CDATA[Belkin PureAV HDMI Switch]]> Belkin has released the PureAV HDMI Interfact 3-to-1 Video Switch. That describes it pretty well, it is a hub that allows up to three HDMI devices to be plugged in and connected to your single HDMI port. The PureAV box supports HD resolutions up to 1080p. It also includes a remote control and a 6-foot HDMI cable. This box should be available in the states later this summer for $200. Having an inadequate TV sure does cost a lot.

<![CDATA[UltraAV HDMI Switch]]> Accell's HDMI switch allows you to plug in two HDMI devices at once—no more traipsing to the back of the set. Plug in your new Blu-Ray player, HDTV DVR or Xbox 360 (HDMI coming soon) and switch between the two with their bundled IR Remote Control. The switch doesn't require an external power source, and at $99, is much cheaper than the $250-$300 for similar devices.

Available in June.

Update: Reader George found a 5 port HDMI switch for $130.

<![CDATA[K-OS Switch]]> This looks a bit too black box for our taste, but let's give it a chance. It seems to be a mini-PC with RGB, S-Video, and Stereo Audio out as well as an Ethernet jack. It can supply IPTV, Video-on-Demand, and gaming as well as wireless keyboards smartcards. This paragraph:

Imagine a computer so small that it fits in your pocket and allows you access to over 37,000 software titles. Software includes games, office software, design software and multi-media software that can plug into your TV set or your computer monitor. The K-Otic guru's of K-OS Technology have created such a system called the K-OS Network and the pocket sized computer we call The Switch.

... makes us thing that this may be just a tiny, web-based miniPC with a bunch of open source software available for use online. We're going to do a little digging and figure this thing out for you all. $149.95 for the box and $69.95 for a year of service.
