Someone should tell that to all the Prius owners. #t27

But then again, I'm not "people".
For me, cars are means of transportation only.
I really have absolutely no desire to have some incredibly beautiful car or whatever...
The perfect car for me has to be cheap, cost efective and clean. But it can be as ugly as hell, I won't mind. #t27

His gas powered T.25 wasn't too ugly so maybe there's hope for this one yet.. #t27

Don't even get me started on the PT Cruiser, Dodge Neon, or the Pontiac Aztec. #t27

I work with stainless all they long. We punch, we emboss, we laser cut, we brake and we roll.
We do not stamp, deep draw or hydroform like the automotive industry does day in and day out on chasis or outside skins.
The molding required for those fabricating methods is astronomical in cost and is designed for high volume and long use.
Yet we can come out with pretty nice shapes.
In short, using a flat sheetmetal approach is indeed very cost effective.
The shape of it, excellent, good, bad or plain ugly, is only due to the sheetmetal designer not the process or technology.
I'm sure Da Vinci would've drawn the Mona Lisa with crayons just fine.... #t27

Just like that.
Mostly because, as I drove down the road, other drivers would be all "WTF?" #t27

...and you're driving past it. #t27

Looks like a Lego car. Just color it right and people will buy! #t27

So, I knocked out a frame, installed a junction box and ran some BX cabling to it, mounted some cable trays along the chassis and wired the glove box as an electrical cabinet, ran a voice/data network with a blade server in the boot and then put in some track lighting for the headlamps.
So there you have it - the McLaren Build-Out.
The first car designed to look like new office construction that had work stopped after financing fell through. #t27

I know motorcycles have the exact same problems (though not looks in my book), but at least motorcycles usually have the agility to get themselves out of harms way. #t27
