I've never used a case for my iPhone 4. Not even after the back broke for the third time. I didn't do it because, unlike my grandma, I don't cover my sofas with plastic. Or unlike idiots, I don't protect my car's front with a bra.
Apple's CEO Tim Cook should be happy. Yesterday's Apple show-n-tell was the most important since the original iPad's introduction—an action-packed gangbang of hot new hardware and shiny software updates, rather than the snooze fests that were starting to become the norm even when Steve Jobs was on stage.
I miss Steve Jobs. The tech world is so boring. So beige. Things haven't been the same without his show-and-tells, him slamming people left and right, or his email replies in the middle of the night.
