Ten Things You Should Know About the Palm Pre
10 Things You Need to Know About PlayStation Home

It is also clear upon handling it why they chose to make the bottom edge the way they did, and why it's a problem. Think of the unit as a rounded rectangular box, and then imagine slicing it in half lengthwise -- the resulting edge is sharp. It maintains the clean line around the edge when the keyboard is closed; if they rounded the bottom edge, it would create a groove all the way around the bottom of the phone. However, while that might not have been quite as aesthetically pleasing, it would feel much better when the keyboard is open, and it would also give you a groove to dig your finger into, making it easier to push the slider open. The slider is actually not the easiest thing to push open, as there isn't a groove or edge to give you much leverage. At any rate, that edge along the bottom isn't a flaw or mistake, it was a design decision, however questionable. Cheese-cutting jokes aside, it's not that bad, but you could get a bit of a scratch from it if you weren't careful. I wouldn't be ashamed to take an emery board to it. =)
I'm going to hold out until at least Monday to see what Apple announces... and by that time, I'm guessing the initial run of the Pre will be gone, so I'm sure it will be late July before I make a decision anyway.

Good sign for Palm.
It's like a good opening weekend for a movie. Hope they can keep up the momentum.

By the way, I've never owned an Apple product and I am a Palm fan (I've owned 4 Palm devices) but I think these are worth mentioning. Sorry if these come out double spaced, I wrote a similar comment yesterday that did.

1) The closed world of Apps. That's 75% of the fun of the iPhone for me.
2) The double spacing of comments. There is nothing to be done. I'm not sure why the changed it, but I sure wish someone would fix it.

I don't understand... let alone pay for it.
The seeds for poor interpersonal skills are sprouting.
Just curious, how many text message rather then call these days? assuming you're not dumping someone (poor edict).
12/12/08
Besides, which is a worse way to dump someone - text message or the Fade-Away?

I may love most things PlayStation, but I've hated Home since I first heard about, and more so once I got into the closed Beta.

Eventually, we'll see more stories like this:

and it's all over.

But seriously, i still have zero furniture in my summer house.

That happened to me last night. I had to download all the locations again.

did it require re-purchase at all?

Well, no... I got the Namco Beta from the japanese PSstore. Played it, hopped back into home (took 35 mins) and my stuff was back. I can't explain how or what happened.... but the Sony home board is filled with people in your situation
12/12/08
I figured this is probably common but i wanted to confirm it. they should post it in the "message of the day"
"just to let users know your purchases may take some time to show up"
... it's been almost a day.

All the speech bubbles blocked my view!
I had to run to the back to see the full trailer for twilight and the music video because a) people in my proximity were talking, or b) all the text bubbles popping up with the ... pissed me off.
I actually wanted to type "shhhh!!!"
So Sony, if you read this, look into doing something about this, and also, maybe do something cool like make people go into a movie theatre at the same time and start the movie for everybody at the same time by doing the movie download as a "purchase" at the stand, and downloading it in the background like everything else. Then you can dim the lights and show pre-movie advertisements, just like an actual movie theatre!

Now they just need to add a "sticky floor" peripheral, and the illusion is complete.
12/12/08
And yeah, add rumble or something, lol.
12/12/08
what a useless waste of time sony has put into this crap. They don't listen to people who use the system and spend their time on an app that NO ONE wanted in the first place.
idiots. If I were the ceo, I would fire the entire department that came up with this crap.

Sounds like something a guy in a suit came up with.
"People dont want to make things, they want to buy things. things that aren't real. why would anyone want to make something when they could just buy something else that we came up with? and beyond that, why would WE want to let them make things INSTEAD of buying them from us.
Fund it."
