No, I'd have to classify this as, at least, more hovercraft than just boat. It's clearly riding on a cushion of air, if he stopped pedaling he'd sink like a rock. Its true that it doesn't look like it would work on dry land, there would simply be too much friction. Maybe it's a hoverboat?
@Gary_7vn: Never seen a real hovercraft, eh? There's a skirt around the bottom, and this does abrade upon the ground, and it does touch the water from time to time. Hovercraft skirts (for ferries and the like) need to be replaced regularly because they get ground away against water and earth. The skirts are what make hovercraft so expensive to operate.
not a hovercraft just an ultralight boat. To be a hovercraft it needs to be suspended solely by air. Its quite clear it never fully leaves the water and can not operate on dry ground.
@shalegac: Do you mean they could have taken the money they used to promote it and invested it the economy somehow, or that the money they used to promote it should have stimulated our economy by infusing the advertising companies with money so they didn't need to fire anyone and also spread the money by paying for ads?
