    R U kidding me? I know tons of YOUNG people who have no idea how to make the change either. It's not about age, it's about techno savy, afterall, the "old folks" actually created HDTV back in the 50's and computers, so it's not like they're all inept. Give them a break.

    A more efficient program would give schools the day off so savvy students can be pressed into service, hooking up analog-to-digital TV boxes for the unfortunate without grandchildren. After all, the next generation is here for making the current generation's life easier!

    @Eruanno: About Step 1, are you saying I'm supposed to plug this cable into this hole where it fits? What about the hole where it doesn't fit? How do you know it's not supposed to go in that hole instead? Should I turn off the lights when I do this for safety reasons? How will it know I like to use a remote control? Have you seen my remote control?

    Think of it this way...


    When you scan a picture with a scanner what the scanner is doing is an analog-to-digital conversion: it is taking the analog information provided by the picture (light) and converting into digital.

    darn thing should have been in spanish. all the extra channels they said were coming certainly were. and why did they choose that goofy font for old people? someone needs to be tarred and feathered. (i have HD, but my lady friend don't have the cable)
