You climb through the window into the kitchen of the white house. A table seems to have been used recently for the preparation of food. A passage leads to the west, and a dark staircase can be seen leading upward.

On the table is an elongated brown sack, smelling of hot peppers.

A clear glass bottle is here.
The glass bottle contains:
A quantity of water.

If you are given many closed sacks filled with different amounts of identical marbles, how could you determine the weight of a single marble without opening the sacks? (Assume the weight of the sack material can be ignored.)

Obscure hint: Think of Robert Millikan's oil drops...

@Hi, how are ya'?: Pick up one bag, count the number of marbles in it through the sack, do the same with another. Subtract the total number of the bag with fewer marbles from the one with more. Weigh them both, subtract the heavier from the lighter, then divide the remaining amount by the number of additional marbles in the larger sack.
