Ugh, I'm so tired of people stealing phones. Somebody stole my sister's phone and purse (along with about 10 other peoples' stuff) out of a locker at a skating rink today. She's on my account so it's a pain in the ass for me.
Oh this is nothing new, I remember when I used to do retail and people would steal the plastic replica phones all the time, the best part is that they said "replica" in bold on the phone.
They didn't post the second story. Those were all actually active AT&T phones. It's just too tough to tell the difference between AT&T phones and those that aren't supposed to work.
Pfft, we get one of our dummy phones stolen once a month. Usually by teens and young adults being complete morons. The worst part is the mfd charges like 30 bucks a piece to replace them.
My store's "dummy" phones are always getting stolen.
I'm not sure why folks want 'em unless it's to pretend for others or something, and that's just sad.
They're a good source of tiny screws, and once in a while SMD switch or USB connector is soldered to a dummy circuit board.
Some components like that can be removed and used, but seriously, just ask and we can give you a pile of old ones.
Shortly after I moved to NYC, maybe 2001, a guy sold me a very nice looking digital video camera for $80. He showed me the box in a shopping bag from Best Buy, of course I was smart enough to make that the box was heavy enough to have an expensive digital camera. It seemed shady and I was pretty broke at the time but I just couldn't pass up that deal.
I was super excited to about the prospect of making digital movies back then...
So I get to a place to check it out.... and it's a box with the Sunday Daily News inside. The box just had a couple of pages of a sale circular ad for the camera taped to the sides...
I considered it an $80 lesson on how to handle myself in New York City.
Why do always have to be stupid things in the bag in this kind of story? I wish that someday there would be a story like this: A men bought a bag and there was Jessica Biel in it!!!!
I so love potato salad. You haven't had real American potato salad until you've been to the Midwest. Mmmmm, just thinking of it makes me sooo hungry, and I just had fresh-picked blueberry pancakes!

And if I could actually make use of the heart-clicky button, I would. Believe me, I've tried!

Don't go bustin' up the place, please.
Someone just vacuumed.

Weirdly, the Gawker upload won't actually play the gif, but I can't delete it out of my post. Go figure!
