    Yup - have the T400 and it popped up. They use to do this before but I was able to uninstall the app. I have no idea how to uninstall it now. I have posted this on letsfixthis.com - hope lenovo listens [www.letsfixthis.com]

    I only buy lenovo laptops for most users (and a couple macs) - I always do a system restore on new lappys, custom style, and un-check all the bloatware. other than having to do that, I have no complaints about lenovo.


    and none of my users get those ads, since I don't let message center run on anything.

    I've owned four consecutive ThinkPad Laptops, and I have to say ever since Lenovo took over the ThinkPad Line the ThinkVantage software has gone from helpful to outright crap. I guess this is what happens when the Chinese Gov takes over a good product ( the chinese government owns the majority of Lenovo). I would not be surprised if there is spyware on there too. I wish IBM still made them, too bad really.

    if the nerds at slashdot can't fix it there's no way i'll be able to troubleshoot this over the phone with my mom. hopefully someone can come up with an easy tool to run.
