This degrading April Fools environment is becoming more and more conducive to "F1RST!" comments. I'm surprised I haven't seen that many yet.
I can only assume that the Giz staff is now passing around the hookah and simply copying and pasting their emails and image cache onto the site in good fun.
This is clearly from the Norm MacDonald school of comedy: If you do it once, it's funny. If you do it 10 times, it's no longer funny. If you do it 20 times, it's REALLY funny.
@Geisrud - MS150 fundraising time!: From the image on the left it looks like they are showing a three lane motorway with an exit on the left, in the USA and other right-side-of-the-road countries, the exit would typically be on the right. So it looks correct to me.
I am looking to buy a last minute gift for my parents, I was thinking about the Logitech Harmony 880 Universal remote.
My parents are in their mid sixties, have a complex entertainment system, consisting of among other items, a 52 inch HDTV.
Does anybody have experience with these and do you think it would be good for my easily frustrated parents? As it is my mother calls me a few times a day for help.
@Incognito: The Harmony can be really intimidating for those who are not familiar with the series or what it does. Small buttons doesn't help either. Let's just say it's the kind of remote where you have to look and think about before pressing a button even for volume and channel. In the end, it's still a remote.
I ended up getting a the learning remote from Sony. It's more intuitive, programming is straight forward, and it's only about $20 bucks.
Nero is normally $70... but to get it down to $0, I'm going to have to spend $70+ of my own time and effort to jump through all those rebate hoops and forms!
@The Dude Abides: I think I have to drive to a Fry's, or snail mail a box of Nero to my house, to mail in the UPC for the Fry's discount. Then I have to mail in the in-store receipt for the second rebate form, and proof of ownership of Adobe Elements or something or other, PLUS the front page of the manual of Adobe Elements. And I need to explain why I'm just sending a photocopy of the Nero UPC, instead of the box UPC, because I already sent the original UPC with the first rebate form.
Now package all this together and fill out the forms, etc.

However, I have enough time posting to omg-ponies.com with regularity so I don't know what I'd do with Hobomodo.com.
Giz has been good to me and I can't mooch off them.
However, if anyone is interested in OMG Ponies merch...
