Somewhere, in a long-forgotten vault at Paramount Pictures, there must be an old Betacam tape containing the trailer for the real Top Gun, the version that the executives didn't have the guts to distribute. The one that shows that this is the most homoerotic movie since Ben-Hur. It probably looks like this.

Iran has premiered an awesomely bad knock-off of the awesomely bad Top Gun, which tells the "official true story" of Abbas Babaei's role in the Iran-Iraq War and his rise from fighter pilot for the Shah to major general for the revolutionary Ayatollah. Titled Passion of Flight, there's even a Persian version of Goose.

Once again, the guys at Screen Junkies show us the ridiculous Hollywood bullshit of a blockbuster film: Top Gun. It's a ridiculous movie to begin with, but it completely falls apart in a hilarious way when you see it through their Honest Trailer lenses.
Top Gun is an American classic. The Tom Cruise feature had bromance, jets, motorcycles, passionate kisses, heartbreak and volleyball. Sadly the sequel sounds nothing like the original — it's basically Tom Cruise versus the machine. And it sounds kind of terrible.

A few days ago, China Central Television showed footage of what they claimed was an air force training exercise conducted on January 23. From the looks of things, they were actually just playing clips from Top Gun.
