    If technology were to ever progress that far, I'd think that humans would sort of mesh together into a giant mind-blob... thing, with thoughts and emotions propogating and stewing throughout all the connected people.

    @TheSonOfKrypton: This already happens a good bit, people are scared that putting things in you is the mark of the beast. There have been small implants to let you do anything form carry your OS around with you to unlocking doors and keeping your ID. #deaf

    Hey that Head Spa massager is useful for any low budget sci-fi movie in need of some weird head-gear type prop:

    It's a futuristic brainwave analyzer.

    It's a futuristic remote control for unmanned drone or other unmanned military vehicle.

    It's a futuristic VR sex machine.

    It's a futuristic smartphone/wearable computer with a front projected HUD that only the wearer can see (especially useful on those tight effects budgets).

    The list goes on...

    I kept telling everyone that Johnny Mnemonic was ahead of its time and it's tech was going to come true. It predicted everything included in This Cyborg Life, except for the success of Ice-T's career, and cyborg tranny hookers, and why Takeshi Kitano was there, über brain-hacking dolphins, and... on second thought, what the fuck is that movie about?

    @madog: All I can remember is Keanu Reeves and Dina Meyer hanging out like in a VW van or something suspended high in the air for some reason. And yeah, there was a dolphin.

    I paid to see that movie in theater, and I realized at some point that every movie I've ever seen based on a short story has turned out to be crap. #sextoys
