They need to install something like this for driving tests, so idiots that don't pay attention to... say, the ROAD, when they're driving don't pass. Ever. Include things such as bikini clad women, half-naked men and a beachfront scenario, as well as rubbernecking accidents...

@EtrnL_Frost: Hear, hear! Driving tests should ALWAYS include bikini clad women and half-naked men!

And why stop at driving tests? Why not expand this concept to, say, grocery store checkout counters, libraries and doctors' waiting rooms? We'd have a country of better fed, better read and all around healthier people.

@EtrnL_Frost: there are instances where not watching the road directly ahead is "safe" driving. everytime i drive through a residential area i always scan yards for little kids playing with balls. you know a kid with a red ball scores you 10 points and a green ball gets you 20 points. you gotta keep your head on a swivel 'cause they don't always just jump into the street for you.

It will also immediately disconnect any phone calls you are making unless you strictly adhere to the principles of NewSpeak.

*sigh* If they only spent as much effort in developing automated drivers...

It should give off a shrill alarm the entire time you drive while wearing sunglasses.

@leuch3rd: Intriguing. Now if only we could make steering the car completely hands-free.

Hmm, not sure about this. Still, I do like the apparent innovation to mount a 42" plasma right in front of the steering wheel. I was SO tired of having to squint down at the passenger seat to watch movies on my iPod.
