    Such a good movie that even those of us who are not die hard sci-fi fans liked it. It left just enough doubt.....I am still not sure, was it real or not. (The blue sky part still makes me wonder.)

    @Curves: well, if you could somehow replicate the earth'sa tmosphere in under 10 seconds, then the sky probably would be blue as that's all about what kinds and what conentrations of particles are in the atmosphere.

    @Sora57: YES and while I would agree with you, when he got to Mars, the sky was NOT blue. Thats why I have always wondered. (I think we need a Giz might at the movies!)

    @Curves: Not when he got to Mars, when he started the atmosphere-creator at the end. I just watched the last 5 minutes via youtube and there is blue sky at the end.

    @Sora57: Yes, but the sky wasnt blue until the last 2 minutes the entire time he was there, which has always made me wonder why the lab tech would have made such a point of it if it was blue for only 5% of the time of the "program".
    (See, this is why thats such a good movie, because we are here, like nerds, discussing it 20 years later.)

    @Curves: Well the Mars package was a popular one. Although many users tailor it to their exact liking none of them obviously thought of the blue sky option, which is why the tech made a point of mentioning it. A sort of, 'now there's something you don't see everyday' kind of thing. Just imagine the monotony of their jobs. In between clients you know they're sitting around swapping stories about some of the freaky fantasies being played out.


    I bet they've even have one of the polar bear suit.. ;)
