You just compared the Space Race to the iPhone. And I'd call not wearing space suits more of a sacrifice. It was something that lets you stay alive in space.
Whereas the iPhone touchscreen has the downside of no gloves with zero noticeable upsides. Oh and you need to ruin a perfectly fine pair of gloves so you can get your gloves to work.
And it's not like they couldn't just use a touchscreen that can work with gloves, like mine does (I had a check when I realised I might not be able to use my phone. Apparently my gloves work fine,so this seems to be an iPhone issue rather than a general touchscreen problem)
'Heres a cool phone, but you can't use it in winter' Cool phone gimped a bit on the hardware side, and it's been out for several years, not like they didn't click it might have a problem after the first winter.

@deanbmmv: Wow. You have no idea what the differences between resistive and capacitive screens are. The iPhone doesn't work with gloves, fingernails, and styluses because it has a capacitive screen. Already, I know your phone's screen is made of plastic (probably has a lot of scratches unless you took extreme care of it), doesn't have multi-touch, and is harder to see in sunlight.

The iphone is great phone but there are some legitimate complaints that can be raised about it. That it doesn't work with gloves is not a significant one because a) it is such a small issue and b) any other phone with a capacitive screen will have the same problem.
It just pains me to see people who will literally find the smallest thing to bitch about.

I stopped there. My Dell XPS M1710 has a 1920x1200 resolution. I'll wait for the Studio 17 Touch to allow for a little more real estate.

Call me too stubborn and too fixated on the 16:9. It's going to be a hard adjustment for me, I suppose, and I've been craving a touchscreen laptop for awhile. Hopefully the 1920x1200 option will be something I'll see in the foreseeable future. I'm glad I'm not in any hurry to buy a new machine.

EDIT: And then I saw the 3G logo. So there you go folks, T-Mobile or AT&T. As an aside, "Android" fits in that black space as well, and that's likely what is there and the tipster is just playing games with us. The only other possibility for carrier titles is T-Mobile, but again, I'm none to sure they really want to release another android phone what with them trying to sell everyone the MyTouch and trying to fan the flames for the Cliq's eventual arrival.
So Final Judgment, I'm going to say this is for AT&T.
