Good. Nintendo should have lowered the price for it a long time ago. It is basically a rip off at $250. For $50 more, I can get a console with a 120 GB hard drive, much better graphics, both ethernet and WiFi, and blu-ray. The Wii isn't worth that.
@Steve: While the 300GB PS3 wasn't an option when I got my Wii (and I honestly would've gone towards the 360, anyways), I gotta say, you're right about the hardware. I played Guitar Hero World Tour on a 360 after weeks of playing on a Wii. I was absolutely shocked at the superior level of graphics and *gasp* the lack of loading screen between songs.
I've never had a huge budget for video game systems, honestly. Way too much other stuff to spend my money on, especially now that I have one console. However, I will say that the 360 and PS3 (now) are certainly a good deal for their price.
At $199, it is still about $100 too expensive. I recognize it is the undisputed winner of the console sales this generation, but when Nintendo can still make a tidy profit at a hundred bucks a pop, they should go ahead and sell it at that price. That said, I suspect they will sell a bunch of them at the two hundred dollar price point, so their marketing folks should ignore my worthless thoughts on the subject. Besides, they will need that extra profit for R&D to come up with their next generation gimmick to kick Sony and Microsoft's butt again.
@Monty: I don't know if I'd call it the undisputed winner of this generation. I think there is a compelling argument for the 360.
It has a huge library of high quality games, plus exclusives, and (arguably) the best online format of all three consoles. In addition, with the recent addition of Netflix and streaming video, I think I'd take the 360. Granted it had setbacks (RROD), but the Wii also has them (insane amount of shovelware, lack of quality non-party games).
@iamnotafish: Well, my statement was that the Wii is the undisputed winner of console sales this generation, which is going to be difficult for the Xbox 360 or PS3 to overtake. As far as the undisputed winner of overall profit including game sales, the Xbox 360 looks like the long-term winner. And, hey - Sony won the next gen HD format battle, which is a bit like winning "best personality" at a beauty contest, but it is something. I guess.
Black Friday should disappear for at least a few years. The worse the economy gets the more violent these gatherings will become. People will become desperate and overly aggressive, as if we all aren't already enough.
Maybe more people should get killed, if that's what it takes for the American public to collectively come to the understanding that this Black Friday "tradition" is as stupid as it gets and should be abolished once and for all.
@Dearhaw: So you're perfectly willing to let a couple of idiots ruin an entire phenomenon enjoyed by tens if not hundreds of millions of people? Let's put things into perspective here: problems are few and far between. It's a tradition, and a damn fine one at that. Just because a minuscule group of people start trouble or don't like it doesn't mean it should be abolished for everyone.
@Apparatus Ex Somnium Design: Is it worth it to get somewhere faster by plane if people might die in a crash? Is it worth it to have the freedom to go anywhere by automobile if some people may die in accidents? Is having ice cream with nuts in it worth it if a few people may die from allergic reactions? Should people go to hospitals if some doctors may screw up and cause deaths? Is it worth all those lost construction worker, bird, and bat lives to have windmills erected to generate power? Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. So the answer to your question about saving money is quite obviously yes. Life sucks sometimes. It's not fair, it has its risks, and shopping in such a congested and contested environment comes with consequences. Nobody forces these people to line up for these deals. It's their own personal choice and thus their responsibility to live with that choice.
@BigDragon: You're right. Nobody forces people into lining up for these deals. But the first part of your paragraph talks about accidents. When planes crash it isn't because anyone was interested in hurting another person. Same for car accidents.
What happens in these stores is not an accident. They are malicious acts born out of hatred and desperation over the obsession of material objects. People are so obsessed with getting a good deal that they'll break everyone bone that's between them and the perfect holiday gift. It's absurd.
I don't care that you answered yes to my question. Just accept that you're going to Hell for it, because you're basically saying that you support murder in order to save money. Which is fine. Just as long as you can live with yourself, knowing that every deal you made came at the expense of someone's life. What goes around comes around buddy.

Nintendo will sell tons of them at $200.
