    @luckylakey: I might have too, but my parents didn't get a new large appliance until I was 14. A refrigerator, by then I decided that I did not have to live on the street in front of our house, and that the parents weren't as alien-like as I once thought.

    @Software_Goddess: Same here but we usually made spaceships, robots, the Flying Sub from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and stuff like that which always ended up being violently destroyed by freak meteor showers, angry giants, bizarre sea creatures, etc...

    @Software_Goddess: I admit that when I was twelve I was building arcade cabinets that looked remarkably similar to this, except I was using components from Radio Shack to make things move and lights flash. Still, the concept is the same - minus the actual technology to have a working arcade game, mind you.

    @Software_Goddess: Ah, the imagination of children! I remember the joy when we got a new refrigerator and I had this huge cardboard box to make believe anything I wanted. I'd set that box up on the porch, climb deep inside its mysterious darkness and pretend I was a refrigerator ready for shipping!


    So I had a warped childhood, wanna make something of it?
