<![CDATA[Treo 750/750v Gets Windows Mobile 6 Update]]> Treo 750 users who've been waiting for that Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for a while can finally install this onto your phones. It's recommended for everyone who doesn't use BlackBerry Connect, because Wm6 doesn't support it at this time. If that's you, don't upgrade, because you can't downgrade to WM5 again. [Palm]

<![CDATA[Happy Mother's Day!]]> We at Gizmodo are officially departing for our Mother's Day festivities. There could always be posts later this evening, but they won't be by the standard weekend crew. My mom is currently driving down from Chicago for a little late golf, dinner, and of course, gifts to make up for my not driving to her this Mother's Day...or her birthday...or...

So she will be getting a black Nintendo DS, Brain Age and Puzzle Quest. And considering her own obsession with all things shiny (except her Treo 750 that sits unused for reasons beyond me), I think she'll enjoy playing her beloved puzzle games with dual screen and stylus interface.

Did anyone else give/receive gadget gifts for Mother's Day? Hit those comments and let us know!

<![CDATA[Reviewed: Cingular Treo 750 (Verdict: Good, But There's Cheaper Alternatives)]]> treo750.jpgEmbargoes be damned! Mobility Today just posted a review of the Palm Treo 750 for Cingular (after being read the riot act by Palm earlier today). The reviewer calls it "one of the best PocketPC Phone Edition devices ever to be released." Guess he liked it. It's the first 3G Treo as well, so it's got some decent technology behind it and isn't just another pretty face. There's also a decided lack of bundled apps in this Treo, which is kinda strange given that it's probably going to be aimed at corporate users (as opposed to the Treo 680 which is more for consumers). Bottom line? The Treo 750 seems to be a winner, but Cingualr already offers two other 3G smartphones that just happen to be cheaper (the 750 is $400).

<![CDATA[Treo 750: We're 90 Percent Sure It'll Be Announced Here Very Soon]]> We kinda had a feeling that the Treo 750 was going to be announced during this year's CES, and an inadvertent leak by a Web site earlier today all but confirms our suspicions. We shan't be posting any pics just yet (being sued is no fun), but Palm will be talking later today. Once the official word hits, rush back here for the gory details.

<![CDATA[Cingular Rebate Ad Points To Treo 750, Treo 680 and Cingular 8525]]> It looks as though the Treo 750 will cost Cingular customers $100 less than they might have anticipated if the wireless carrier's Web site is to be trusted. The eagle eyes at Mobility Today noticed a $100 rebate for the Palm smartphone that's valid for both the model with and without a camera. Also in the ad are rebates for the upcoming Treo 680 and Cingular 8525.

Cingular: their prices are so low, it's crazy!
