ok small screen looks so crisp its the same in proportion to a 1080i screen of its size comparison. its sharper than my iphone!
and in talks with distributors for 2 main parts that make it so pricey(not as high as rod.com $999.00) if all goes well .Price change...$209.95 any style!

Ok, it looks awesome but a few minor quibbles:

This needs a jog-dial, the clicking looks really awkward.

Who on Earth would read e-books on a 2.8" screen?

The LED setup is neat, but less is more sometimes. A dimmer would do a lot for those LEDs.

This prop replica would go good with this one and this one too.

It would be like having this, only no assembly required...

Ummm...don't mean to nit-pick, but why does the tri-corder here have the medical bed diagnostic screen?

@smegz: Because it's a medical, and not a science Tricorder. That's also why the hand scanner is pictured next to it..

Oh yeah, and Nimoy on SNL was hilarious. I completely stumbled upon it by mistake, flipping channels.

I have nothing against the new Trek but I really dig the props from the original series. They had a simple yet functional style and not all shiny and chrome-plated..
