Maybe he won't. Maybe Batman will just walk. But should Nolan give in to inevitable studio pressure to design another new, marketable Battoy, I humbly propose this modified Lamborghini Ankonian.

A concept Russian design student Slavche Tanevski, the Ankonian, named after a breed of black-haired bull, combines sleek and angularity through a series of winged panels that appear carved from some metal obsidian alloy engineered for sheer badassery. And OLED lights built directly into the body, while a slight stretch of the imagination, are a welcome touch.

If Batman won't take it, we most certainly will. (Though if Bruce Wayne could still provide the funds, that might help.) [Car Design via AutoMotto via LikeCool]

<![CDATA[Mini-Tumbler Is Perfect For Taking Down Children in Joker Halloween Costumes]]> So you can't afford a full-sized Batman Tumbler from The Dark Knight. But maybe you can afford a go kart sized one! That's something, right?

Well, it's not for sale, but the plans for it are. Yes, you can build your own sad little Tumblr for $30 and an existing go kart. Then you can drive up to Christopher Nolan's house and pitch yourself as Robin in the next movie. I don't see how you can go wrong! [eBay via Jalopnik]

<![CDATA[Batman's Tumbler Replica Won't Fly On Rooftops, Ram Through Barricades or Take a Direct RPG Round]]> This $499 Tumbler from The Dark Knight is confusing. On the one hand, it's $499, but on the other hand, it's a 1:6 replica of what Batman's been driving in the last two movies, PLUS it's even big enough for you to fit your 12-inch action figures in. The thing doesn't seem to be remote controlled—you'd be afraid to lose your $499 from ramming this under a car tire anyway—but does have light-up headlights, a sliding roof panel and movable flaps. If this were only a few hundred bucks cheaper we'd be all over it, but we suppose the price is worth it just to see Brock Samson sitting in Batman's ride. [Entertainment Earth via Random Good Stuff]

<![CDATA[DIY Batman Tumbler Is Nearly Perfect, Built With One Man's Bare Hands]]> Bob Dullam is a man possessed—by a lot of things, surely, but mainly by the drive to build this absolutely amazing working replica of Batman's current-gen Batmobile, the Tumbler. Our buddies over at Jalopnik have spotted it, and It's got it all—the afterburner, the huge honking double-barrel wheels, the stealth-toothiness on all of the edges—immaculate. Dullam threw it all together with nothing more than commonly available photos and the movies themselves, all custom welded, in his own garage by himself. And if you're assuming he's got a pretty impressive Batsuit to go with it, you're right.

Bob estimates when all is said and done, his labor of love will cost him anywhere from $50k-$70k. And even after repeated pleading on the Super Hero Hype forums where he's showing it off, he ain't sellin'. At least not until he needs to liquify some assets to work on a working Batpod, which he's setting his sights on next. Head to Jalopnik and the boards for more. [SuperHeroHype via Jalopnik]

<![CDATA[Paper-craft Batmobile Recreates Tumbler From The Dark Knight]]> Despite wanting desperately to watch The Dark Knight, I still haven't gotten a chance to rush out to my nearest movie theater and bask myself in the two-or-so-hours of nerdgasmic delight I know is waiting for me. So as the stellar reviews pour in from the papers and from friends, I need to find creative ways to scratch that Batman itch. Like papercraft! Here's an amazing Batmobile Tumbler design created by paper model expert Claudio. With hundreds of individual pieces, I bet this thing will distract me until my man in shining (black rubber) armor whisks me off to the cinema. [Technabob]

<![CDATA[Batman Tumbler Transformer Eats Jokers and Decepticons for Breakfast]]> The Tumbler is the most badass Batmobile ever (it's a freakin' tank), but what if it was a Transformer? This is definitely what it would look like: A Decepticon-shredder. Bat-ingenuity, Transformer tech and sheer badassery definitely make this the beastliest 'bot out of Cybertron. Optimus Prime had better watch his back. I want one. [Jester Pictures via Autoblog via io9]

<![CDATA[Batmobile Tumble Case Mod, Bye Bye Mac]]> After finding himself bored by his Wal-Mart R/C Tumbler, one modder decided to do the only logical thing: make the toy into a badass case mod. While the specs are a bit on the lame side—AMD Sempron 2800+, 40 gig HD, 736 MB of DDR 400 ram and a CD/DVD drive—we're still fairly certain this computer could beat the crap out of a more Vista-capable machine without hesitation. And Christian Bale could use a Bat Computer...
