Instead of a traditional rotating vane, the 202 uses miniature twin turbines to control the rate of automatic winding. Plus, the level of air compression generated by the turbines can actually be controlled using a 3-position selector switch.

As far as telling time is concerned, the watch utilizes a rather elegant series of rotating hour blocks built around hands that automatically adjust their length to mark the minutes. That is a hell of a lot of technology to do what any cellphone or bubble gum machine watch can do, but I have to admit that I'm pretty damn impressed. No pricing information has been made available, but think expensive thoughts. [Urwerk via Watchismo via Gearfuse]

<![CDATA[ Crazy Man Drives 1,300 Miles to Burn Down a Dude's Trailer Because of an Online Feud ]]> Here's a friendly reminder: Don't screw with people on the internet, as they aren't all pasty, spineless nerds. Just most of them. If you're unlucky, you'll be like John G. Anderson. He had his trailer burned down after he called Russell Tavares a nerd online.

Apparently, the line was really drawn when "Anderson called him a nerd and posted a digitally altered photo making Tavares look like a skinny boy in high-water pants, holding a gun and a laptop under a 'Revenge of the Nerds' sign." Holy crap, I hope Greg Packer doesn't have that kind of temper.

Tavares apparently really, really hates being called a nerd, as he drove 1,300 miles from Virginia to Texas, snapping pictures at each state line and posting them online to prove that he was insane and on his way. Even after he was sentenced to seven years in prison, he wouldn't let the flame war (pardon the pun) go.

Tavares would not let the feud go even at his sentencing. According to Pack, Tavares took cellphone photos of Anderson in the courtroom while the judge was hearing another case. Authorities ordered the photos erased.
Just be nice online, people! If you really need to be a jerk, do it in person so at least you'll know who you're up against. [Yahoo] ]]>

<![CDATA[ Hello Kitty Health System Cutely Calls You a Fatty Boombatty ]]> hellokitteh.jpgReally, this is just a standard body fat meter with a Hello Kitty sticker slapped on the front of it. But it also comes with a numeric health meter and a cooking scale, so you know what'll expand your waistline before you shove it in your face.

At $50, it's not as cheap as the (free?) camera phone diet assessment making the rounds in Japan, but the results are more immediate. Besides, hello, Hello Kitty sticker—it's never too early for young girls to obsess over what they eat.

<![CDATA[ Pawsense, Kitty Keyboard Kover Prevents that Feline from Typipppppffffffssss ]]> Cat owners know that 99.9 percent of felines love to walk all over keyboards, and these two products show that cat who really wears the pants in the house. The Kitty Keyboard Cover is a "simple and elegant" solution to the cat- walking problem. It is a clear acrylic cover that sits above the keyboard and allows the cat to walk all over and sleep on without disturbing your typing.

The other options is a little more intuitive and ingenious. Pawsense is a software utility that can actually detect cat typing. This has to be the work of some of the smartest software engineers in the world because I have no idea how one can distinguish cat typing. Pawsense supposedly does so with the help of complex algorithms that detects speed, motion and force on the keyboard. Upon detection of cat typing Pawsense will disable any inputs from the keyboard and begin playing an annoying sound to rid the cat of the area. Windows only. Thanks, Karson and Barry!

<![CDATA[ Ecoplus Pen Cartridge Converts Any Pen to a Stylus ]]> Needle-thin styluses are nice because they fit easily into the said device, but seriously, they are a pain in the ass to hold onto and use. LSN Global, a Korean company, has developed the Ecoplus, a refillable pen cartridge that can turn the average ballpoint pen into a stylus. No longer will gripping that miniature stylus be a pain in the ass. Just use your normal, comfortable pen.

<![CDATA[ Urwerk UR-103 G Platinum and Gold Plated Watches ]]> urwerk.jpgWe're not quite exactly sure how to tell time with these things, but when you have the money to buy a platinum, gold, or 277 white gold covered watch, the other guy can wait for you.

The Urwerk UR-103 watch has four satellite dials that swivel around and align with the "minute hand" on the outside. Couple that with a leather band and you've got yourself one sexy piece of time-telling equipment.
