[Laposte / Thanks Ravi!]

<![CDATA[Samsung N310 Viral Video Is All Gumby and Looney Tunes]]> If you enjoy the squishy clay-ness of Gumby and the brutal violence of Looney Tunes, you will enjoy the latest viral video for the 10-inch N310 (or NC310) netbook from Samsung.

So what is the message being sent here? The N310 has a colorful exterior? Or is it that visitors to Samsung trade show booths are not easily freaked out by their hallucinations?

<![CDATA[Palm's Casting a Pre Viral Video Right Now, Hints At Pre Release Date]]> If you're a male in Seattle from the age of 24 to 34, you may have the chance to star in a Palm Pre viral ad. Update

Funny, cool and nerdy. Is that you? If so, contact your agent and ask him to get you in. Chances are you'll get a free Pre out of it. Even if not, at least you were in a "viral" video that will probably get posted here when it launches. [Thanks tipster!]

Precentral says the part is for a guy being upset that the Pre hasn't been released yet. It's going to be a "protest", and the guy won't leave his apartment until it's released. They're going to be "done" on June 5, meaning that the release should logically be around that date. Most likely before?

<![CDATA[Samsung i8910 (OmniaHD) HD Video Trick Doesn't Impress The Girlfriend]]> This very cool video was shot solely on the Samsung i8910, which captures 720p video as well as 8-megapixel shots.

Although we can't figure out how they did it, it still is pretty cool. And yes, naturally, his girlfriend is not impressed in the slightest. Take your guess before reading the comments or else you'll spoil the fun.

<![CDATA[Sheep-Powered LED Display Lights Up Welsh Hillside]]> In one of the funnest examples of merging animals with technology yet, these herders took to the hills of Wales to create huge sheep-driven LED displays. Baaaad ass!

It's blatantly a commercial (for Samsung LEDs), but hey - if that's what it takes to get those crazy next-level herding abilities displayed, I'm all for it. The sheep reenact a game of Pong, fireworks, and line up to form a pretty dead on representation of the Mona Lisa. [- Thanks Claudio!]

<![CDATA[Beijing iPhone Bowling Man is Viral Ad For Different Phone]]> Of no surprise to any of you, the Beijing arm-swinging man turned out to be a viral ad. But turns out it wasn't for the iPhone (which is still not officially allowed here)...

In fact, it was about the Sony Ericsson F305 motion gaming phone. Apparently the F305 comes with some bowling game of its own. Does a viral video count as a fail if everybody thinks it's advertising a different product? [Youku]

<![CDATA[Bruce Lee Plays With Fire In Nokia Viral Ad]]> Can't get enough of Bruce Lee secret training videos, even if they happen to just be viral ads for Nokia's Lee-themed N95? Me neither! Following last week's awesome ping pong battle, here's a new clip where a dude playing the Master of Jeet Kune Do lights freakin' matches with his nunchucks! [Youtube]

<![CDATA[Bruce Lee Nunchucks the Crap Out Of Ping Pong in Nokia Shill]]> A couple of weeks ago, a ten second clip called “Bruce Lee's secret training video,” featuring someone looking like the famous Kung Fu master completely owning at ping pong with a pair of nunchaku, was uploaded to the Chinese Internet. Now, the entire clip is up and... it's a Nokia ad! For a Bruce Lee version of their N96! I guess with the rising middle class already getting jaded with traditional marketing, companies in China are starting to embrace virals. Still, in terms of ads, Nokia seems to have hit on a winning formula. I can't think of many things I love more than Bruce Lee, ping pong and pwnage! [Youku]

<![CDATA[LG Secret Viral Video Pits Screen Against Idiot]]> LG's latest viral ad video for their LG Secret doesn't have nearly the same amount of creepiness as the first, but it's way, way stupider. We're not sure what message they're trying to get across, that the LG Secret is fireproof or that the LG Secret is stupidproof. Both? [Crunchgear]

<![CDATA[Cellphone Popcorn Video Is Viral Marketing For Bluetooth Headset]]> You've probably seen the video above where people put cellphones around popcorn kernels and pop them by making a call. Turns out that it's a slightly disingenuous video by Cardo, a Blutooth headset manufacturer, in order to scare people into thinking that cellphones have that much radiation and they really need a headset. The viral video sure did raise awareness for the brand, but there are better ways of selling your products than to try and scare your customers into thinking they need it. [Cardo]

<![CDATA[Microsoft's Xbox 360 Parental Viral Videos Are...Uh...]]> There's not much we can say about these viral marketing videos from Microsoft that the videos themselves don't already say, so take a look at the one above and the one below. We've picked out the best ones. Just what target is Microsoft hoping to hit with these "parental street cred" viral videos? Parents of kids? Kids who want their parents to buy an Xbox for them? People who enjoy attractive ladies dressed up in lab coats?
