Looks like an iMac on the front with slightly worse material choices. The articulated mounting arm has a nice "friendly android to hold up your computer" feel to it.
Can't figure out what the black/red donut on the back is supposed to be. Perhaps a picture frame style prop?
It basically looks like a television from the back. Dell definitely played it safe there.
I'm sure all the engineers who program micro-controllers will be glad to hear this. It was always a pain trying to order computers that had serial ports for the projects they were working on. Most of them used well outdated machines just because they needed the serial communications.
@zeroprime: The last time I needed a serial port, which was in '06 working with 1st gen PS3 dev kits, we just used serial to USB adapters and RS232 emulation. Are there circumstances under which this doesn't work?
@Xeno: My cubicle setup is such a jumble that the guy sitting next to me accidentally pulls more cords out somehow... I will take this slow ugly thing in a heartbeat.
Meh. These Vostro specs to purchase are limited to XP, 1GB, 16GB SSD, and 0.3 MP. I'm glad I got my Mini 9 that was fully customizable to 2GB, 64GB SSD, and 1.3MP.
@beyondthetech: I got my Mini 9 in the mail yesterday. I ordered the barest one I could find last week, during their Spring Cleaning sale ($180). I've already ordered a few upgrades for it -- I got 2 GB RAM and a 32 GB SSD.
But answer me this -- what are you doing on yours that requires 64 GB of space? I even think my 32 GB is overkill, as I'm mainly doing web and email on this, and possibly some music management. But I run my MP3s through a shared network folder so it's accessible throughout the house. My wife has a Mini too.

The keyboard looks a little different to me, but maybe I'm just imagining that.
