VowelSynth: Homemade Speech Synth

While this won't fool your school principal a la Ferris Beuller's Day Off, it's still a cool project. This synth has a set of strings attached to DSP chips which "play" a certain sound when struck, or in this case, touched. The resulting music/cacaphony sounds pretty eerie. More »
