You know, color me silly but after the huge success of the iPhone, you'd think that companies would be scrambling to release a truly worthy iPhone competitor. For a company that produces 2 versions of the same phone (not including color choice), they really seem to have dominated the cell phone market.

I appreciate the G1, but it is still not quite the same level of user experience.

And, the Storm sucks. I decided to stop and play w/ one. It really does have a hideous touch screen interface.

People keep talking about the Pre, but it isn't even out yet so we have no real clue about whether or not it will suck. And here we are 2 years later with Apple of all people dominating the cell phone market mindshare, and making money while doing it.

Weird.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I passed through the T-Mobile store, and it's sort of depressing these lame choices we have for smartphones. It's mostly Blackberries for Nokia's sake.

....and then they all returned them and got a BOLD. I love mine, the Storm looks nice, but too many issues with keyboard.

@Lane Jasper: I second that, the keyboard sucks on the Storm. I like the screen real estate, but the functionality really kills it. I really like the BOLD better for the Blackberry.

@Lite: By iPhone I mean get poor 3G reception due to faults within AT&T's 3G network design, and not entirely because of the phone itself, even though AT&T let Apple take the fall?
