on the topic of the built in digitizer. i sorta was wishing lenovo would offer a version for the left handed populous.

if they did offer that, more then likely i would have gone with a w series then my x61 tablet

the lenovo w series is exactly that, a desktop replacement. one that you could take with you if you so needed to do.

How does the digitizer work on the laptop. Or perhaps a better question, how come when I put my Wacom on my laptop's keyboard the lines that are drawn look like they are having a seizure

does that guy live in a ghost house?

as for the laptop, it looks massive. more like a desktop replacement than a laptop. In fact I'd rather have a decent desktop and 2 24" LCD's for the same price that the W700ds would run

With all of this seemingly thoughtless crazy stuff slapped-on, it ain't a Thinkpad, it's a Do-pad.

    Oh God I hate me!

I don't see uselessness out of this. You can't play games or watch DVD on that thing. What is that for HUGE spreadsheet or HUGE InternetsExploders web-page?

Oh yeah! "WORK", that's what it's called...

Just get a desktop with dual displays. It will cost half as much and not look like ass.

@jestermeister: At least the fanbois aren't being too obvious on this post.

There is no satisfying them; if it doesn't have an aluminum chassis and a logo as fruity as their sense of style; all they will do is rip on it. You just have to learn to ignore their arbitrary criticism...

@bpapa9013: Yes, because every time there's a post about Apples the PC fanbois never come out of the woodwork to blast Apple users at every chance, saying that all they care about are aluminum chassis and fruity logos and that they have a crappy sense of style.

    There's no satisfying them either.

@korybing: True, there are bad apples on both sides, but bashing the looks of a think pad is like bashing the looks of a dump truck...

Form follows function, and this laptop has function in spades.

Incidentally I have yet to hear a fanboi indicate to me that they care about anything beyond aluminum chassis and fruity logos, well unless you count being required to over-pay for outdated hardware, that seems to be the icing on the cake for them...
