@mocax: Because they're socialists. I think it's an apt metaphor for a big government nation like Sweden.

Socialism is like a manlift without a safety door. Without a free market regulating itself, there is nothing to protect the people against the intrusion of government regulation. Liberal capitalism is a well-maintained freight elevator.

@Whisssper: That's a manlift. See above. Socialism works on paper, but, like the manlift, if you ride it too long, it will crush you under its jackboot.

Free-market capitalism is a state-of-the-art buttonless Japanese glass elevator. It works perfectly without any flaw whatsoever.

Old Europe will fail because of their overdependence on state welfare and outdated freight movers.

@Samutz: Happened to MORE than one person. Usually dumb signs don't happen because one person did something. Wording in manuals, yes. Which is why the NJ State Drivers Manual tells you not to grab burning wires in your dashboard with your bare hands, and reminds you to run TOWARDS the train if your car is stuck on the tracks. This is because some idiot took the Goofus route, and not the Gallant. (Goofus and Gallant explained here: [en.wikipedia.org] )
