i had an economics prof that wouldn't turn his mic off when he went in the hall to talk with students or when he went to use the restroom. and yeah, i don't remember hearing him wash his hands and if you had personal issues to discuss it was best to wait for office hours. the guy was greata prof, but the added comedy of bathroom noises really made the class worth while. his name was Stormin' Norman.

yes yes, but when will facebook be able to connect to my face, and my books? i need facebook in my coffee. facebook should automatically inform everyone what kind of shoes i have - why don't my shoes connect to facebook? isn't everyone else completely enamored with the mundane details of my life? i'm tired of having to MANUALLY tweet every time my balls itch - my balls ought to be on facebook. What's more, my balls should be on your face.

@.kg: Why not? It's certainly a lot better than the entire Scary Movie canon. Anyone who actually sat through, and enjoyed, Meet The Spartans, should wear paper bags that say "LOL I SUK" on the forehead.

Facebook commenters need to audition just like everyone else starting now.

And, just to test it, moment ago I created a brand-new Facebook account. When I used that new account and logged into Gizmodo as a new Facebook user, my profile page tells me (emphasis added):

Welcome to Gizmodo! Your account has not yet been approved but you can edit your profile, add friends, and clip articles. You need to audition to become a commenter. Your comments will be displayed once your account is approved.

Now it seems via empirical testing that any previously existing active Facebook/Gizmodo accounts--meaing ones that have already successfully commented--will continue to be able to do so, so this new audition process seems only to apply to new Facebook activity.

Only if it's watched on a computer? If it's on a regular player, will it sync somehow? (I don't have a blueray player, so I'm oblivious). But I DO have a PS3....

@JazzBri: I won my PS3 in a raffle. I just don't know what the features of REGULAR blueray players are (but am well aware of the features of my PS3). So do regular blueray players have ethernet/some way to connect to facebook as well?
