Buckle that nostalgia-seatbelt: Weezer's debut, The Blue Album, came out 20 years ago today. And in the two decades since, being geeky has gone from socially crippling to almost cool.
It's pretty well established that Weezer's first two albums were also Weezer's best two albums, and I'm not here to disagree. Whatever your personal favs are (COUGHCOUGH Undone, El Scorcho, Why Bother, No One Else COUGHCOUGH), those records are chock full o' great tunes. The rest? Maybe not so much, but "Ruling Me"…
The album is actually called Weezer, but, because of its lime green cover, it's known as the Green Album. It marked the return of the band after a five-year hiatus.
