    And yet, my iPod classic, never exposed to sub-zero temperatures, failed after nine months because the power connector in it failed.


    While the refurb Apple sent me to replace it works just fine, I've been happy with my Zune ever since.

    Only thing that would surprise me was if the screen was undamaged. Everything else wouldn't be affected as long as he let it dry first, only concern would be if it had been cold enough to freeze the LCD before it got encased (once encased in ice it's not going below 0C).


    Water isn't as damaging to electronics as people think. I've seen motherboards and video cards put through the dishwasher, left to dry and then booted up.

    Dammit. All we have up here in the Bay Area is water. All I found in it were prescription drugs.
