Every time you press and hold A to raise your bow, the MotionPlus re-calibrates. Wherever you were holding it when you pressed A becomes the zero point. As the instructions tell you, you're supposed to hold it straight in front of you when you press A, which prevents any sort of drift from occurring.

about how much better is the bowling game?
I was thinking of buying Wii Sports Resort and a MotionPlus just for the bowling game.
I have a wii and 3 controllers and mainly use it for family Wii Fit and a few bowling games.
Is it really worth it to buy Resort and Motion+?
Also, probably in a few months. 3rd party companies will have their own version of motion+, possibly with better sensors in them.

Thanks :-).
I will look around for it and try and find a good deal and get it.

Make sure to buy the bundle to start out.

can you turn it off or do you have to remove it to play regular wii games or does it even effect regular play?

The fact that the kind of sensors used get out of wack with use is not just a nintendo thing.
I think its all a matter of how programmers use the data. I do not think you can actually review the wii motion plus hardware itself since every game will use the data differently and unless you have a nintendo wii dev kit you cant reallytell how it functions.
