From an artist/illustrator standpoint, I absolutely hated the Photoshop CS3 interface. It was a nice attempt at being reconfigurable and unobtrusive, but in practice ended up making me hunt for needed things more often. It also seemed to behave erratically, with tabs trying to dock into other palettes, etc. It tooks me a while to get things where I liked them, but it still obtrudes annoyingly.

@gifpaste: I fully agree. I've had two Tivo's, a ReplayTV, and the DirecTV HR20 HD DVR. The DirecTV Is BY FAR the best. It's highly intuitive in it's menu system. It's quick (I have NO idea what dhechler is talking about) and it simple.
The cool part is that they keep upgrading it. They just added dual-live-buffers so you can watch two live shows at once without having to record them.
Verizon's Fios tv has a pretty bad interface. The guide lists the channels, but the program discription appears right in the middle of the screen. I end up looking just above or below, because it's too distracting. Aldo you have to enter a parental control number each time you want to check on Twitter feeds
