I think EVERY version of windows has been touted as faster in many ways than the previous versions. Good to see this tradition continues, even through it is meaningless in the real world.

WOW!!! I can't believe this!! it really wasn't fair for people to expect the new operating system (Vista), which had MORE FEATURES (!!) to boot faster than the old (XP). But somehow Windows has actually done it!! I'm so excited!

10 seconds?! Given that I do a full reboot of my machine about once a fortnight, that means I'll gain almost a full second of computing per day.

You can't put a price tag on productivity like that.

@OMG! Ponies!: The thing is that reboots occur at the most inopportune times like after installing a program and wanting to use it or after Windows updates itself and you want to use the machine. Sure you can wait but that stupid thing will nag the hack out of you until you do.
