Some businesses may use the entertainment features and some home users may want the businesses features. Those that don't want their employees to have the entertainment features can strip them out, and people who don't need the business features will just not use them.

7 improved on a damn alot of things. Why should MS stop improving when it comes to price? They sure know many people gained interest in 7, so they also have to make good prices for the customers to actually buy it.
And goddammit, the price isn't even announced...seriously...
(and i like Macs. And Linux. And ponys)

It wouldn't shock me for a second, if he would pull out a gun, screaming at some poor Press guy, that asked a wrong question at a Press Event.
Scary Guy!

Only three apps at a time? WOW... Microsoft is proving itself to be Linux's best friend.

For example, if I'm a home user, I should have an option to hide all of the checkboxes and tabs and windows and menus for enterprise-centric features to streamline and simplify my interface. Similarly, enterprise users should have their own option to hide all the home user junk. Ultimate power users can just turn everything on. N00bz can continue using a Mac.

Windows XP Home -> Windows 7 Starter, $100
Windows Vista Home Premium -> Windows 7 Professional, $75
Windows XP Professional -> Windows 7 Ultimate, $95
Windows XP Media Center Edition -> Windows 7 Home Premium, $105
Windows Vista Business -> Windows 7 Enterprise, $60
and so on and so on and so on...
You know what's easier?
Windows (any version) -> Mac OS X 10.5.6, priceless.

It's hardly trolling, and I've got to agree with the guy. I own both a PC and a Mac, and I really like how Apple offers just one OS. Easy to buy, easy to think about. I think it's silly to have 7 different versions of one OS myself.

this is a WINDOWS THREAD ABOUT WINDOWS. if you want to talk about linux or Mac's DO IT ELSE WHERE.

No matter how much any one of you may hate what you perceive to be fanboi-hood, the REALITY is, if an article is discussing the relative merits of seven different iterations of a single OS, it might bear commenting that at least one vendor follows a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STRATEGY, one that seems satisfactory to many users.
Linux users should be allowed to post because, although they face a dizzying array of choices, as well, the pricing structure for said choices remains the same.
You anti-mac people are like Republicans: you automatically, knee-jerk label anyone a fanboi (or socialist during the last election cycle) whether it applies or not.
To steal a line, "you keep on using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

I am not anti mac. I'm anti 'saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over an over again'
we got it at the 400th time it was said. it's just that simple and go be a grammar nazi somewhere else as well. again something which is so overused it's annoying.
