    @Moffitt: But does it prove a point? does the company frequently send 4GB file transfers, to that same spot? Is the pigeon reliable (so what if it got there one time, does it have error checking to make sure it gets there every time). What if the distance was twice as far, or 100x as far. Data transfer times would be roughly the same - not so for the bird.

    I can "prove a point" if I want to and create an experiment that will prove it for me.

    Errr....

    Sitting on my 1.5 Mbps connection at home, I'm pretty sure that pigeon would beat my transfer speeds on a distance of sixty miles, too.
