Some people like physical keyboards for one. Secondly they've already spent the R&D money. They might as well push through and attempt to get an ROI for the cash dumped into development of the Treo-Pro.
@OMG! Ponies!: Hrm, but exactly would you go about marketing the Palm OMG! Ponies!?? I mean, for one, it has two exclamation marks in the name, which makes it a bit odd to create hype around, as its own name is hype.
One of the reasons I don't often tamper with the screen-name is aesthetics of it. Concise and direct, the all-caps of the first part balances against the length of the second part. And the exclamation points help direct the eye.
