<![CDATA[Philips Working on a Full Touchscreen Phone?]]> Philips Xenium phones are generally known for their long-life battery performances but if these photos are in fact real, then the designers are venturing into new iPhone, Diamond touchscreen territory. PC World China is saying that the upcoming Xenium x800 will have an "e2e" screen— that's an edge-to-edge touchscreen, apparently. From the photos it looks like it's got an orientation sensor, Wi-Fi, a browser, a curved design and a bevelled metal edge. Sounds a little familiar? Check out the photos yourselves.

<![CDATA[ETEN's Glowfish M800 May Steal Smartphone Crown]]> usethgi.jpgThe chaps over at Pocketinfo.nl have just obtained word on ETEN's Glowfish M800, the successor to the X800. From the spec sheet, boy, does it pack quite a punch. The M800 will have:

A 500MHz processor, 256MB ROM, two cameras, VGA display, HSDPA/UMTS, GPS and a standard stereo headset connector. The HTC TyTN II should look scared; the M800 hits stores in November and will be priced between $844-$886. Pound for pound, ETEN's offering stands above the HTC TyTN II on all but screen size. The proofs in the pudding; we'll reserve judgment till we get our grubby hands on the potential smartphone sire. [Pocketinfo.nl via Mobility Site]

<![CDATA[Glowfiish X800: There's a 'Two-Eyes' Joke in there Somewhere]]>

But it's up to you to make it, not me - the reason being that E-TEN's latest Windows Mobile 6 smartphone has your usual two cameras. One is an auto-focus two megapixel version at the back for hi-quality snaps and vids, and a VGA camera on the front for video calling. The important thing, however, is that it has 3.5G connectivity with HSDPA/WCDMA and Wi-Fi, integrated Mobile Office suite and a 640 x 480 pixel screen. Full list of specs (insert four-eyes joke here, if you want) after the jump.

E-TEN Glofiish X800 Premieres at CeBIT 2007 [MobileWhack]

3.5G connectivity
High-speed HSDPA/WCDMA for fast downloading and surfing
Windows Mobile 6 platform
VGA display
Access to streaming video VoIP
Video calling
Wi-Fi, GPS, GSM and Bluetooth enabled
113.5x60.5x15.8mm dimensions
Mobile Office suite

It's not much of a looker though.

<![CDATA[eMagin 3DVisor Hands-on]]> I keep seeing these things at all of the trade shows, but DLMag took a moment to really try them out. They even shot some video.

The Z800 creates a virtual 105-inch display in front of your face and includes stereo earbuds. The next product is the X800, a headset designed for 3D and gaming. Finally, there's the Eyebud 800, a monocular headset designed for the iPod. All of the visors support video-in and are full color.
