The Terminator and Grey's Anatomy Hit Xbox Live Marketplace With ABC and MGM Content Deals

Announced during Bill Gates' keynote by the Robbie Bach, ABC, the Disney Channel and MGM are all putting content onto Xbox Live Marketplace. ABC and Disney are starting out with 500 hours of content in SD and HD, including Desperate Housewives, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, plus Disney shows like Hannah Montana. MGM's offerings are significantly more badass—the entire Rocky series, Terminator, and the Bond franchise. Not a total explosion of content yet, but the door's open now for more stuff to roll in. Just like we said it would, the Xbox Live Marketplace has come to four parts of Europe: the UK, France, Germany and Ireland. It's also in Canada.

Xbox Live Video Marketplace Coming to Europe on December 11

European Xbox 360 owners don't just get the Dashboard update with DivX and XviD playback, they're finally getting Xbox Live Video Marketplace as well! They've been asking for it forever (seriously, they ask almost every time there's Video Marketplace news), but come December 11, they'll be able to pay 380 points for 720p HD video and 250 for SD video. Starting now, you can download the Season 1 and 2 recap video of Battlestar Galactica, which fills you in on Seasons 1 and 2 and gears you up for the start of Season 3 in October. When we were at E3, we grilled the Xbox Live guys for an answer on whether they were ever going to bring high definition entertainment—movies, TV shows— to the Xbox Live Marketplace for download.
