Xbox 360 With Free $100 Gift Card Deal Might Be Hitting Walmart This Weekend

A Kotaku tipster supposedly took a screenshot of a Walmart computer displaying a deal that throws in a free $100 gift card with purchase of the $200 Xbox 360 Arcade system. It also shows a Sony Blu-ray player for $149. More »

The Best Xbox 360 Deal: Arcade Bundle + 60GB Live Starter Pack, $250

So, I went to Circuit City yesterday because I couldn't keep myself away from the Black Friday madness (it's fun), and because I wanted to pick up that $199 Xbox 360 Arcade + 20GB refurb hard drive, since it was a good deal without BS add-ons. Apparently, they only had one of those per store, so I missed it. But that's okay, there's a better no BS Xbox deal worth highlighting: Amazon is selling the Arcade Holiday Bundle + a 60GB Xbox Live Starter Pack for $250, which basically amounts to $50 off of the Pro. Xbox 360 Arcade is Official

Click here to read Xbox 360 Arcade is Official
Microsoft's long rumored Xbox 360 Arcade is now official. It's everything we knew before: $279, wireless controller, HDMI, and five arcade games (Pac-Man Championship Edition, Uno, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket and Feeding Frenzy). No hard drive, but there's an included a flash memory storage unit to save your arcade games on. It's a logical system that we predicted was true since almost a third of Xbox 360 owners don't know about the Arcade portion of Live. With this new SKU, even if people don't buy it, they'll at least know what the Xbox Live Arcade is. More »

Leaked Xbox 360 Arcade Product Shot

Ars got their nerdtastic mitts on an Xbox 360 Arcade product shot—the new 360 version we detailed for you yesterday. There's not much else to say other than look at the picture, but you'll notice that the 360 Arcade's DVD drive is the same gimpy white as the Core's, instead of the majestic silver like the Platinum's. Xbox 360 Arcade Coming Soon, to Match Core System's Price

Click here to read Xbox 360 Arcade Coming Soon, to Match Core System's Price
The rumored Xbox 360 Arcade system looks to be inches away from becoming a reality, according to this fuzzy image snapped at an unnamed retail store. The details, as we have them, are thus: a hard-drive-free Xbox 360 that comes packaged with a 256MB memory card (to satisfy developers like Rockstar, who want to require storage for GTA IV) and five Xbox Live Arcade games. It'll cost $279, the same price as the Core it'll be replacing, and the smart money is on it coming in the next two weeks, or at the very least before the holiday buying orgy commences. Xbox 360 Core to Become Xbox 360 Arcade?

News comes in from Microsoft Belgium that the oft made fun of Xbox 360 Core is going to be finally discontinued and replaced with an Xbox 360 Arcade. It's essentially the same console—same white DVD face and same lack of hard drive—but adds a wireless controller and a 256MB memory card. Oh, and five Xbox Live Arcade games for free. More »
