It includes a new blue shell and D-pad along with a series of glowing LED buttons. Can techno-kitsch be beautiful? Apparently. [TotalConsole via technabob]

<![CDATA[XCM Cross Fire Adapter Mates PS3 Controllers With Your Xbox 360, For Some Reason]]> This seems to violate every fanboy code ever written across the hallowed halls of the gaming internet, but if you must use your wireless PS3 controllers to play Xbox 360 games, this is for you.

It also connects wired 360 controllers, as well as your non-360 Xbox controllers, if you must have the heft and fattness of the original. You'll have to drop $85 for the privilege. [Product Page @ Extreme Mods]

<![CDATA[XCM Rumble Joystick Gives PS3 the Quakes]]> XCM is building the world's first rumbling joystick. You know, like a Street Fighter IV Tournament Stick, but with the shakes.

Other that the vibration functions, it's a pretty typical arcade stick, featuring turbo modes and four memory buttons that can be programmed with complicated stick/button maneuvers reaching up to 20 steps apiece. (That's like the whole Konami Code in one button press.)

It doesn't look like the stick is on sale just yet, but what do you think, have you been missing the impact of a full-out Hadouken on your fingertips? [XCM]

<![CDATA[XCM Cross Fire Adapter Brings Dual Shock, Identity Crises to Xbox 360]]> On the opposite end of the fanboy self-loathing scale created by the PS3 XCM Cross Battle adapter is the Cross Fire. It brings Dual Shock controllers to the Xbox 360 (with turbo!).

Like its Cross Battle cousin, this adapter delivers the Dual Shock experience some gamers crave but cannot have on their Xbox 360 consoles. It also delivers, via an array of switches, custom turbo settings for every button on the controller.

Rumble is also supported, as well as a "tilt" switch, which we imagine is the Dual Shock's motion sensing functionality. So that's in there too, even if there aren't any Xbox 360 games that support such a feature. At the very least, you can't say the folks at XCM didn't cover all their bases with this thing.

Arrives in two weeks, with pricing that will probably be in line with the XCM Cross Battle adapter ($55). [SlashGear]

<![CDATA[Cross Battle Adapter Brings Xbox 360 Controller to PS3, With Rumble]]> It's the Holy Grail of self-loathing DualShock gamers. Ditch Sony's controller for Microsoft's with the XCM's latest, fully functional Cross Battle Adapter.

The adapter plugs into your PS3's USB port where it accepts wired Xbox 360 controllers. Beyond mere "it works!" functionality along with new rumble support, you can also toggle turbo on any buttonwhich is why the unit has like a thousand switches.

The XCM Cross Battle Adapter is available at a few online retailers where it appears to be selling for about $55. So the question is, just how much do you hate yourself, fanboy? [XCM via Maxconsole]

<![CDATA[Render Vs Reality: XCM Dominator Joystick]]> Product renders often look far different than their production line counterparts. Take the XCM Dominator Joystick for the PS3. To be fair, the right is a night shot. But still! [XCM]

<![CDATA[New PlayStation 3 Accessories Bring Joystick Controls, Unholy Xbox 360 Union]]> There's kind of a dearth of arcade-style joysticks available for the PS3 right now, and there aren't necessarily many fighting games worth playing on the console either. Nevertheless, the XCM Dominator will exist soon.

Then again, female avatars have had a tough time in Sony's PlayStation Home service as of latemaybe the killer combos this thing will help create can help them out of a jam. No price or availability just yet, and that's definitely a render.

The other addition is this curious $40 XCM Cross Battle Adapter hub that allows PS3 owners to synch up their wired Xbox 360 controllers and play games that way. It's a better controller, sure, but there has to be some button mapping issues, no?

Nostalgic aside: Remember when joystick controllers only had two main buttons? [Total Console via Pimp My Console]

<![CDATA[XCM Xbox 360 Casemod Glows Whether Console is Overheating or Not]]> Irresistible Xbox 360 red ring of death heatsink jokes aside, this glow-in-the-dark replacement shell from XCM is the bee's knees for gamers who like to do it in the dark. Even with the lights on the case is still pretty cool, as it sports a semi-translucent look, allowing onlookers to marvel at the melting electronics housed within.

<![CDATA[Your PSP Doesn't Glow (Yet)]]> Since my PSP generally sits on the shelf, it might as well serve a greater purpose, like as a night light. This XCM Magic Night Glow face plate for the PSP Slim could create such a night light, air traffic control signal, or radioactive PSP prank. During the day, the covers look pretty normal. (This one is a tomato-soup red). But at night...

...I suddenly feel an urge to smash my DS into a thousand little pieces. At the moment, the XCM covers are yet to be priced/released. But hit the link in a week or two if you're interested. [Extreme-Mods via technabob]

<![CDATA[XCM Chrome Xbox 360, From Drab to Fab(ricated)]]> We can't speak for everyone here, but our home theater just isn't looking tacky enough lately. Luckily there's this XCM-branded chrome Xbox 360 case replacement for HDMI-enabled models to help us reach our geek quota. Running about $60, a set of four will only set you back $240a nominal cost to have the most unique, sought-after rims on the block. Unfortunately, the hard drive cover isn't included, nor is a new skin for your controller. Those will set you back $25 and $30, respectively, meaning that this little joke gets expensive real quick.

<![CDATA[E-Setter Easily Switches PS3 Resolution Externally]]> Switching resolution on the PS3 isn't too complicated, but if you're trying to do it from memory on a TV that's blank because you've got the wrong settings it's nigh impossible. With the XCM E-SETER, you can quickly push one of the labeled buttons and switch quickly and instantly to the desired setting, bypassing all that Sony Cross Media Bar goodness their programmers worked so hard to port from the PSP. $29.99 is a bit too much if you rarely use this, but if you're taking your PS3 to your friends' houses to show off how great Heavenly Sword and Folklore are, you probably stopped reading and ordered this already. <![CDATA[XCM 360 Hot Rock Case Warns Of Impending Doom]]> If you or someone you love has been affected by the Xbox 360's red rings of death, consider the new 360 Hot Rock case from the modders at XCM. This clear case mod comes with a temperature gauge and multicolor LED that goes from cool blue to flaming red as your console approaches the melting point. No price point yet, but the Wii version runs about $60, which is most likely what this creature will cost once it's available.

<![CDATA[XCM VGA Box Makes Your Wii/PS3/PS2/Xbox VGA Compatible]]> This VGA Box sits between your console and your TV/Monitor in order to convert component video into VGA. This is useful for say, the Wii and PS3 that only have component but not VGA outputs, and will convert 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. It should work on most TVs and monitors supporting VGA input, and will cost you $69.

It also comes with three component cables for the Xbox/Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. The reason we haven't listed the Xbox 360 above is because it already supports VGA output, and it's probably better to use the direct VGA connection than to go through this box.

<![CDATA[XCM Cable Hooks Up Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2]]> If you're lucky enough to have an Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2 or any combination of those, this XCM XFPS 360 multicomponent cable v2 can hook you up. Just flip a switch and you can toggle between all of your machines, you spoiled brat. Your next assignment: play games on all four machines at the same time.

If you're rich enough to have all those consoles, this cable's $29.99 price won't bother you. Looks like the thing actually works, toocheck out the video, if you can stand its elevator music:

<![CDATA[XCM XFPS Xbox 360 Keyboard/Mouse Adapter In Action]]> Despite whatever feelings you may have on the "fairness" of using a keyboard and mouse controller when others are using the joysticks, here's a video on how the XCM XFPS adapter actually works. You can assign different keys on your keyboard and mouse to map to the buttons on the 360's controller (video of that after the jump).

The whole process seems pretty straightforward, and the results actually look pretty good. Call of Duty is responsive, and aiming seems much easier than using the joysticks. You'll have to use a wired gamepad, however, so Xbox 360 premium users are out another couple of bucks.

<![CDATA[XCM XFPS Xbox 360 Keyboard/Mouse Adapter Available Now]]> If you hate using the Xbox 360's dual joystick controllers to play Gears of War, now's your chance to pick up the XCM XFPS keyboard and mouse adapter for the 360. Not only does it allow you to use a PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse, you can also hook up a PS2 light gun, a PS2 guitar, or a PS2 dancing mat, none of which are really supported on the Xbox 360 gamewise.

However, you can hook up a PS2 Dualshock or a PS2 Racing Wheel, which should work fairly well on a 360. The bad news is that the adapter costs $79, but if you're a traditional PC gamer that's dying to get back your keyboard and mouse, it may be worth it.

<![CDATA[XCM Brings PC-style Gaming to Your 360]]> Miss using your keyboard and mouse to play first-person shooters? XCM is bringing old school PC gaming to your living room with the XFPS 360. The tiny adapter plugs into your Xbox 360's USB port and lets you connect either a USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse directly to your system. I could never get into the keyboard and mouse routine when gaming (maybe I was using the wrong combo), but most hardcore gamers favor that over a clunky gamepad. To each their own. The XFPS 360 is currently in prototype. More pics after the jump.
