I lived in Xiamen for a year and a half. This beach is actually on the island of Gulangyu just off the coast of Xiamen (5min ferry ride). Fun facts about Gulangyu.. 1. There are no cars on the island as they are not allowed... bikes or feet only. 2. This island is nicknamed "piano island" as it is host to a "famous" piano school and because 95% of the residents own pianos. As you walk around, you can here pianos being played almost all the time. Fun facts about xiamen. 1. It is against the law to use a car horn anywhere on the island. 2. It's nickname is the garden city. Gardens are constantly being built. 3. It's home to the worlds biggest gun. It was used to fire shells across the Taiwan straight. They are very proud of this gun. 4. The tea from the Boston Tea Party came from Xiamen. It was also one of the main ports that was used by the British to import opium.
@Waaaaaa....?: Actually, in this case it is MOUSES. Trust me, it hurt me to type that way since it felt wrong, but this has been rehashed tons of times at Giz. Its Mouses.
