It's possible that this device would be able to connect with a data plan via 3G and not actually be a phone. If that's the case, then you could have a sort of quasi-Archos gaming device from Microsoft. What will really make or break this thing in the end is the application pool that develops around it. The interest that developers take in whatever comes out will translate into ours. If third-party development is slim, no doubt sales will follow suit.

Details on this better start coming hard and fast, before I drop a few bones on the new OLED Walkman. The last thing I want is to get the Sony and then have Microsoft announce the new Zune cures cancer, as well as enlarges that "certain part" of the male anatomy.
