It's a tribute in part to "honor the design of the first ever arcade cabinet" which was Computer Space, from 1971. So it's got arcade-quality controls for two people, including the ever-important trackball (good news for Missile Command fans) and squeezes in 100+ games and a suite of emulators.

But since it's a modern build, Martijn popped in media-player functionality for audio and video, a 2 x 90W audiophile-quality amp/speaker system and a 24-inch 1080p flat-screen monitor. Lovely, in a retro-futuretastic way... but why oh why did he choose yellow? Good enough for bananas and custard, but arcade machines need to be more sober. You should be able to buy one sometime, price on application. [Retrothing]

<![CDATA[Some iPhone 3G Screens Are Looking a Bit Yellow]]> We're not sure precisely how widespread the issue may be, but multiple reports on the Macrumors forums are bringing to light that some iPhone 3Gs are suffering from a screen with a yellow tint. While on a standard LCD the issue would probably just warrant a settings readjustment (like from Movie mode to Sports), we can't tell whether or not this is an issue with the display itself or the firmware driving the display. Is anyone else noticing that their shiny white/black iPhone 3G is looking a bit...yellow? [Macrumors]

<![CDATA[StreamMyGame Lets You Play PC Games on Your PS3, Reduces Need to Ever Leave Your Couch]]> We almost did not believe it, but those guys at StreamMyGame have included a video in which they are playing Crysis on their PS3, all streamed from their PC. There is no visible lag, and the resolution is user definable. In short; it looks crisp. Check out the tutorial above, but skip through to the money shot at 07:55, unless you are setting it up, in which case you will need to go through it all. If that does not get your pants wet, we'll have to send Jason in with his dildos (NSFW.) [StreamMyGame via Akihabara News]

<![CDATA[Unannounced Yellow Zune Color Found in Software]]> The "Citron" Zune, which looks like citrus yellow, has been found by deep diving into the Zune software released today. Since Microsoft hasn't actually announced the color yet, we're thinking this is either an unreleased surprise for some promotional event—they've done many special editions for promotions before—or an old color that was scrapped at the last minute because little kids will say it looks like pee pee to last year's poo poo brown Zune. What do we think? More colors is better than fewer colors, and traffic cops can always use it to direct cars while jammin' to their tunes. [istartedsomething]

<![CDATA[Scientists Create the First Super-duper "Pure White LED"]]> The American Chemical Society is claiming that the "holy grail" of the LED world has been reached. A pair of Indian Scientists have created a pure white LED. No longer will we have to suffer with odd blue- or yellow-like white LED's. The method used to achieve the white color was so blatantly obvious, they used "phosphors made from semiconductor nanocrystals of cadmium sulfide mixed with manganese." The scientific duo is currently attempting to raise its production consistency so that it can be brought to the masses. [Physorg via ACS]
