New Iron Man trailer. Shorter than the amazing full trailer, but with a few new seconds. Tony "Iron Man, it's kind of catchy" Stark still looks like a billion dollars. And Virginia "Pepper" Potts looks like a trillion. Iron Monger, however, looks like a gigantabolous vintage Italian espresso machine, as you can see in this new brightly-lit and sharp beautiful shot:

Steampunkish? You bet. Still, I bet he can kick Hulk's ass. At least for two minutes. Iron Monger, un cappuccino, prego? [io9 and Toysrevil]

<![CDATA[ Netflix Considering Distributing Movies Via Consoles, HD Disc Players and Set-Top Boxes ]]> During its mostly positive Q3 earnings call, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings dropped word that "in terms of enabling the viewing of online content on the television screen, we are exploring a variety of options, including Internet connected, high definition DVD players, internet connected game consoles, and dedicated internet set tops, with a variety of partners, trying to understand the best ways to provide inexpensive viewing of online content on the television." <![CDATA[ iPhone Apps Now on iPod Touch (Or Not) [UPDATED] ]]>
Jailbreak, formerly reserved for unlocking iPhones and installing apps, is now in iPod Touch form according to the link below. We've known that the internals of the iPod Touch look mighty similar to those of the iPhone and that, theoretically, the iPod Touch should be able to run iPhone apps without too many complications. <![CDATA[ Healing Theater Umine Gives You that Sinking Feeling ]]> So, you've pulled The Man From Atlantis/Daryl Hannah in Splash/The Little Mermaid and you've won the "My place or yours" contest. This is what you use to set the mood—Umine's Healing Theater. Costing $84, it emits soothing sounds of the sea—frolicking dolphins, mating whales, that sort of thing*—and projects green and blue lights on your ceiling. Available from the middle of August—I suppose it's aimed at those of us who won't make it to the seaside this year—the Healing Theatre runs on four C batteries and can also be used as a speaker. *Maybe the animal noises are punctuated by the deep parp of an oil tanker's foghorn, I don't know.
